Colorful Weddings & Colorful Wedding Garters

Adding a splash of color to your wedding started as a huge trend in the 1990s. Today, weddings are more colorful than ever. And I love the idea of having a colorful wedding garter underneath the neutral, stark white pallet of a wedding gown. I have designed so many vibrant, bold colored wedding garters over the past two years....that it is hard to remember them all. Below are pictures of a few of my favorites, along with a wedding that I saw on the Wedluxe blog this past week that had taking screen shots until my fingers hurt. La Gartier Featured in The Knot Magazine!!

When I first started La Gartier, I had a few internal, unspoken rules in my mind for what it would take in order for myself to consider La Gartier a success. Looking back, I can clearly identify them now. They were:
1. La Gartier will be successful once it is nationally recognized by the top bridal publications in the country. (ie: Brides Magazine, The Knot, Martha Stewart etc.)
2. La Gartier will be successful once three or more A-list celebrities wear a LG garter on their wedding day.
3. La Gartier will be successful once I am consistently shipping over thirty garters per day to brides all over the world.
Well Ladies and Gentleman, I am very proud to announce that I can now check number one off of the list! The Knot Magazine has printed a La Gartier garter in their spring edition and I honestly feel like I just graduated from college or something. The Knot Magazine is the second most widely distributed bridal publication in the country. It is a fabulous magazine and a source that brides trust for the best advice, trends and inspiration for their big day. I feel so happy when I look at page 212 of the recent editon (shown below) and realize that all of the effort of the past two years have really amounted to something. (An eleven dollar, surprisingly heavy something at that!!) A huge thank you to editor Jennie Ma for taking the time to make my dreams come true. Happy happy happy happy La Gartier everyone. ♥♥♥♥

La Gartier Featured in Oh Brides Magazine

La Gartier is very honored and proud to announce that we have been featured in Oh Brides Magazine!!! This is a very special feature for La Gartier as the chief editor of Oh Brides Magazine, Shondra Hollingshed Glover, is a local Atlantan and fellow wedding industry professional. Oh Brides Magazine is a fairly new bridal publication....and one that is already making big splashes in the southern bridal-sphere. To learn more about this fabulous magazine, you can click here. Below is the cover for the most recent edition. Also shown below is my absolute favorite page of the magazine: Page 18. Why? Because it is here that the "Beth" garter is shown along with a handful of other impossibly darling bow inspired wedding accessories.
