Personalized Wedding Garter: Nena Patterson's Pearl and Rhinestone Inspired Garter

Well, it just so happens to be that wedding season is fully upon us this month and I am most definitely feeling all of the bridal frenzy!! Never has the studio of La Gartier been so busy with the sound of sewing machines, email alerts and new La Gartier brides! One of my favorite things to do is design personalized wedding garters, so when La Gartier bride Nena Patterson contacted me two weeks ago regarding a customization I was ecstatic. Nena wasn't %100 positive what she wanted her garter to look like so we spent a good amount of time chatting about the elements of her wedding, her favorite things, her personal style,etc. Then, I set to work shopping for things that might pique her interest. I was lucky enough to find two separate brooches that Nena loved: one, a vintage blue jeweled brooch that had the phrase "I love you more than yesterday but less than tomorrow" on it and two, a stunning pearl and rhinestone brooch. In the end, neither of us could decide which was prettier, so Nena told me to order both!! Once both brooches arrived here in the studio it was clear to both of us which brooch looked best on her garter: the pearl and rhinestone brooch undoubtedly. (Nena later decided to use the blue jewel brooch as her bouquet embellishment AND her something blue:) When we finally finished her personalized wedding garter design, I don't know who liked it more: me or Nena!! Its design perfectly suites Nena and her wedding style: elegant and tasteful. Below are pictures of the final product for you to see! Nena's Custom Wedding Garter: Pearl Dupioni Silk and embroidred tulle trim from Vera Wang. At the center is the pearl and rhinestone brooch that I found for Nena after three days of extensive shopping.
After securing the brooch, Nena felt that the body of the garter could use a little "dressing-up" so I set to work adding alternating pearls and rhinestones all around the body of her garter. This is a picture of the back of her garter once the additional embellishment was completed.

Personalized Wedding Garter: Juicy Couture Wedding Garter

Ok, I will be the first to admit that as a 28-going-on-29 year old young woman, I am sometimes embarrased by my continued adolescent obsession with Juicy Couture. Aren't I supposed to grow out of it? Or atleast admire it from a distance instead of still sporting my Juicy engagement ring keychain year after year? Well, be it mature or not, I am a Juicy devotee which is why I couldn't resist custom designing a Juicy Couture inspired wedding garter. I found a heart pendant at a local jewelry store that reminded me so much of the Juicy Couture branding that started it all. I didn't even have a bride who requested this design! I simply wanted to make it. So, low and behold, below is a picture of the La Gartier Custom Juicy Couture Wedding Garter, along with some photos from the Juicy website to illuminate how well they go together. Customize Your Wedding Garter

One of the newest garters in the collection allows you to design your own garter. A full customization can be pricey, and time-consuming, so I decided to include two garters in the newest collection that allow for easy, affordable customization.
This first garter allows you to pick up to two of your wedding colors for the center bows, plus a hanging initial for either the bride or the groom. Simply tell me what your wedding colors are in the "comments" section of the shopping cart check-out and what letter you would like as your personalized initial. Be sure to tell me what type, hue, shade, etc of your colors as well. A baby blue is much different than a dark royal blue for example, so be as descriptive as possible in your naming of the colors!! Also, remember the initial doesn't have to necessarily be the bride's!! I have had a number of requests for the groom's and even the bride's father's initials before!
The second custom garter is made of an antique cream lace and satin, with a single blue velvet ribbon tracing the body. This garter is gorgeous and also can work as the "something blue" if you haven't already picked it out. It doesn't allow you to pick out or add any of your wedding colors, so it is a bit less on the money side, but it is an absolutely exquisite garter.
