This week, I am excited to announce that I am collaborating with The Wedding Community blog for a give away that gives one lucky bride the chance to win one of four gorgeous La Gartier garters: the Pierce, the Corrie, the Janice or the Lori garter. La Gartier Wedding Garters Featured in Contemporary Bride Magazine

This week, I was completely blind-sided by happiness when editor Meghan Chalfant of Contemporary Bride Magazine emailed me to tell me that she had included the Black Victorian Wedding garter in an accessories collage she put together on page 171 of Contemporary Bride Magazine. I wasn't having a very stellar day up until this point but afterward it was like I had taken happy pills. It is such an pleasure to receive press.......especially when you didn't even know it was coming!

Today I was pleasantly surprised to find that Atlantan Brides Magazine did a small, online feature about La Gartier on June 7th. Below is an image of the article. You can also see it by clicking here. I am super excited to see this because the newest Fall/Winter edition of Atlantan Brides Magazine drops tomorrow (I am going to the magazine release party at six. Come one, come all!) and this might just mean that Atlantan Brides Magazine has featured La Gartier in print. I sure hope so. Cross your fingers for me. I will know tomorrow around seven p.m.!!

La Gartier Bride Blair Bolton and the Joni Wedding Garter

A few months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Blair Bolton, a bride who was getting ready to order the Joni wedding garter for her wedding in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I was delighted to create her garter, as it is one of my favorites. Well, just yesterday I was lucky enough to open up my inbox and see an email from Blair. She sent me pictures of her Joni garter from her wedding day along with a stunning photo of herself. I absolutely love it when a bride sends me pictures of her garter after her wedding day! Below is La Gartier bride Blair Bolton and two pictures of her garter right next to its pretty box. Thanks so much for sending these to me Blair!
The Joni Wedding Garter is made of an imported french floral-embroidered ribbon and ivory double-faced satin underlay. At the center is one single circular rhinestone and a sheer ivory organza bow. Simple and elegant are the two words that best describe the Joni garter.

Personalized Wedding Garter: Juicy Couture Wedding Garter

Ok, I will be the first to admit that as a 28-going-on-29 year old young woman, I am sometimes embarrased by my continued adolescent obsession with Juicy Couture. Aren't I supposed to grow out of it? Or atleast admire it from a distance instead of still sporting my Juicy engagement ring keychain year after year? Well, be it mature or not, I am a Juicy devotee which is why I couldn't resist custom designing a Juicy Couture inspired wedding garter. I found a heart pendant at a local jewelry store that reminded me so much of the Juicy Couture branding that started it all. I didn't even have a bride who requested this design! I simply wanted to make it. So, low and behold, below is a picture of the La Gartier Custom Juicy Couture Wedding Garter, along with some photos from the Juicy website to illuminate how well they go together. A Word of Advice If You Are Considering Buying A Wedding Garter

IF you are reading this, then you are on the La Gartier website.........which means that you are probably considering purchasing a wedding garter for your big day. So please let me take a moment to warn you against one thing: I have been noticing lately that there is this one certian type of wedding garter design surfacing on different wedding accessories websites, Etsy, etc that, while very pretty, shouldn't be considered as a viable option. I know this may sound like a bold or arrogant statement so just bear with me. You see, these new wedding garters that I am seeing don't have any elastic in them!! This means that they will not stay on your leg for more than three or four, maybe five steps. I think that a large part of their appeal is that they sit very flush against the leg. They remind me of a very minimal, tiny sort of version of the garter. Below, I have posted two pictures of this exact type of garter. They are pretty but beware! A garter needs elastic to hug the leg and stay up while you are walking. These garters below are essentially like taking a pretty piece of ribbon, wrapping it around your thigh and tying a knot in the back. So please, if you are considering purchasing a garter for you wedding day, steer clear of this "simple ribbon, elastic-free" sort of garter. Ok, rant over.
