Modern Couture Tulle Wedding Garter Set

Ok, so come with me back in time for a second: A few months ago I was walking through Macy's at Lenox mall and saw a Betsey Robinson brooch that stopped me dead in my tracks. It was a small heart shaped lock brooch with a tiny key hanging off of it. I instantly checked the price but forced myself to put it back down and leave the store due to this brand new thing I have developed called retail discipline. Over the next few days, I couldn't get the brooch out of my mind. I knew that it would look amazing on a wedding garter. I even began to imagine what kind of wedding garter I should design to compliment it. Well, suffice to say, my retail discipline did not hold out and I was back at the Macy's counter just a few days later.....purchasing the irrestible little thing. On the way home, I drove in a mood of energized inspiration, thinking of how the lock and heart brooch would make a perfect symbol for a bride who believed that her fiance was the key to her heart. I went straight home and spent over three hours creating a garter that was made of layered ivory tulle. Simple, plain, by heart-wrenchingly girly. I wanted the body of the garter to be unadorned and simple so that the brooch would really stand out. I then designed a matching ivory toss garter to accompany the keepsake garter. Below are pictures of the final product. I have decided to name it "The Betsey Johnson Wedding Garter" due to the fact that the brooch is an authentic Betsey Johnson peice. I realize that this is not the most creative name in the world.....but I also happen to know that this is one of the most original, unique gartes in the world at the moment, so I figure that this lets me off of the hook a tiny bit. A Thin Sparkling Loop Wedding Garter Named

Introducing the Joy garter. The Joy garter is made out pure rhinestones. Set in a sort of "infinity" loop design, the Joy garter has a very fantasy-like, glamourous feel. Due to its sparkling girlishness and fantastic design, I have decided to name this garter after Joy Thigpen--the creative director of the infamous wedding blog OnceWed.. I think this garter is beyond perfect for the bride who loves bling, sparkles, or anything that has to do with fantasy. The Most Unique Wedding Garters from La Gartier

While most La Gartier garters are special, I have to admit that there are a few designs that stick out particularly when it comes to uniqueness and singularity. These designs are, in fact, my favorite type of garters to design. The more off-the-wall and eclectic, the better if you ask me. So, today's blog post is being dedicated to my four most unique, "out-there" wedding garter designs to date. First is the Alice in Wonderland wedding garter, embellished with playing cards along the body and an "Alice" satin blue satin ribbon. Hanging beneath the bow is a heart and lock pendant. The second garter is a garter I call the Secret Garden wedding garter. I created it simply because I have a strong affinity for that book and the romance that it brought to my young child mind. The third is the Boho-Chic wedding garter. I created this garter after looking through far too many Anthropologie catalouges and rustic inspired real weddings. The last is the Kira Darling wedding garter (centered with the deer head antler center brooch). I created this garter after seeing tons of deer head/antler decorations in the world of interior design, yet somehow this garter has now been known as the "hunting" garter. (I don't know how I feel about this. Eek). Each of these unique wedding garters are pictured below! I hope you enjoy viewing them! Unique Wedding Garter Spotlight: Peacock Wedding Garter

One of my most unique garters has to be the peacock inspired wedding garter. While you might see other wedding garters out there that somehow incorporate a peacock feather, you don't usually see one with an actual peacock pendant. When I came acroos this peacock brooch out shopping one day (for shoes of all things!) I couldn't say no. I had already seen so many peacock feathered garters like the ones here, and knew I wanted to put my own special spin on the same sort of concept..............and knew right away when I saw it that it was just what I needed. Below is a picture of the final product. The body of the garter is made of an exquisite imported french silk embroidered ribbon and a pea green double faced satin ribbon behind it. Centering this gorgeous wedding garter is the peacock brooch along with one single peacock feather. I love love love it!!! It certainly gets my vote for one of the most unique La Gartier wedding garters!
