Personalized Wedding Garter: Nena Patterson's Pearl and Rhinestone Inspired Garter

By: Sarah Dobson | Sunday 6th of May 2012 05:34:25 PM

Well, it just so happens to be that wedding season is fully upon us this month and I am most definitely feeling all of the bridal frenzy!! Never has the studio of La Gartier been so busy with the sound of sewing machines, email alerts and new La Gartier brides! One of my favorite things to do is design personalized wedding garters, so when La Gartier bride Nena Patterson contacted me two weeks ago regarding a customization I was ecstatic. Nena wasn't %100 positive what she wanted her garter to look like so we spent a good amount of time chatting about the elements of her wedding, her favorite things, her personal style, etc. Then, I set to work shopping for things that might pique her interest. I was lucky enough to find two separate brooches that Nena loved: one, a vintage blue jeweled brooch that had the phrase "I love you more than yesterday but less than tomorrow" on it and two, a stunning pearl and rhinestone brooch. In the end, neither of us could decide which was prettier, so Nena told me to order both!! Once both brooches arrived here in the studio it was clear to both of us which brooch looked best on her garter: the pearl and rhinestone brooch undoubtedly. (Nena later decided to use the blue jewel brooch as her bouquet embellishment AND her something blue:) When we finally finished her personalized wedding garter design, I don't know who liked it more: me or Nena!! Its design perfectly suites Nena and her wedding style: elegant and tasteful. Below are pictures of the final product for you to see! If you or someone you know is interested in having a garter custom designed, please feel free to contact me at info@lagartier.com or feel free to use the contact form by clicking here.

Nena's Custom Wedding Garter: Pearl Dupioni Silk and embroidred tulle trim from Vera Wang. At the center is the pearl and rhinestone brooch that I found for Nena after three days of extensive shopping.

After securing the brooch, Nena felt that the body of the garter could use a little "dressing-up" so I set to work adding alternating pearls and rhinestones all around the body of her garter. This is a picture of the back of her garter once the additional embellishment was completed.

Custom Wedding Garter: Carissa Harris' Spanish Romance Inspired Garter

By: Sarah Dobson | Sunday 22nd of April 2012 05:23:29 PM

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone! This weekend was a very very busy weekend for me, the trees are in full spring bloom and the wedding industry is humming with the sound of excited brides-to-be. I have done more custom designs in the past few weeks than I have ever done before, one of them being La Gartier bride Carissa Harris' custom wedding garter. Carissa Harris contacted via telephone a few weeks ago, telling me that she wanted a custom garter made for her destination wedding in Puerto Rico. As she told me more and more about the details of her wedding I suddenly became ecstatic: I had been wanting to design a Spanish Romance inspired garter for years and her wedding style was perfect for it. After taking a close look at the wedding inspiration board on her Pinterest page, and examining the details of her gown (in a picture she send me via email) I set to work shopping for the materials that would make the most beautiful (and probably the first) Spanish Romance inspired wedding garter ever. Below are a few pictures of the final product. It was sent off to Carissa a few days ago in the prettiest wooden keepsake box you can imagine. Carissa, thank you so much for asking me to design this for you. It was my pleasure and an absolute blast from beginning to end. Happy La Gartier everyone! Hopefully the upcoming week will bring more of the gorgeousness and excitement I felt all over the city this weekend! (Note: if you are interested in having a garter custom made for your wedding, please don't hesitate to contact me, Sarah, at info@lagartier.com OR by using the contact form here)

By: Sarah Dobson | Sunday 30th of October 2011 07:27:09 PM

Well, they did it again. Anna and Brent Deitrich of Live View Studios just shoot some of the newest La Gartier custom Garters and I must say the photography is stunning, again! About a week ago I mailed off about ten of La Gartier's newest custom garters: a country inspired garter, a New Orleans Saints inspired garter, a peacock inspired garter along with a few more and yesterday I checked my inbox to see an email from Live View Studios. The only thing I can think of that is better than good photography is good photography done FAST. Brent and Anna Deitrich are a fabulous husband and wife photography team with a fashion photography flair. To visit their website or learn more about them, please visit http://www.liveviewstudios.com/. Below are some of the newest La Gartier garters photographed by Brent and Anna. My favorite? The country Texas inspired wedding garter.......or maybe the peacock inspired garter...........or maybe the Georgia Bulldogs collegiate inspired wedding garter.................um, I really just like them all!!
