Military Wedding Garter for LG Bride Heather Estler

This week I have been designing the most elegant, precious military wedding garter for La Gartier's newest bride Heather Estler. Heather contacted me about to weeks ago and told me that while she had seen plenty of military garters on the internet, she didn't see any that were very nice or elegant. So, she and I set to work with one very fairly difficult task: creating a military inspired garter that embodied both the pride and ruggedness of the military while remaining feminine and elegant. Heather's soon-to-be hubby is a Marine and Heather was dead set on honoring her husband's occupation through both her shoes (camouflage patterned) and her garter.
I was ecstatic when Heather mentioned having a custom garter made for her because I had a vintage WWII parachute pin in my collection that I had been saving for a garter just like this!! It is over fifty years old and was once given out to men who jumped out of fighter planes during WWII. Little did I know that when I stumbled across it over a year ago in my favorite antique store, that I would one day be contacted by Heather.....for whom the pin was so perfect for.
Below is the final product. I think it came out fabulously! If you or someone you know is interested in having a custom military inspired garter made, please feel free to contact us by using the contact form here or by emailing us directly at info@lagartier.com.

Couture Military Garter for the Military Bride

About a year ago, I came across the most unique pin in the back of one of my favorite antique stores here in Atlanta. I bought it right away thinking that it would be perfect for a military garter. (I did research on the pin and it is actually a pin rewarded to soldiers that jumped out of airplanes during WWII. I have no idea who this belonged to but can I please say, wow, what you must have seen in your life).
Anyway, I had just seen a friend of mine do a WWII inspired engagement shoot and I knew that there was a demand for military styled wedding garters. I had never seen a military garter done well however. You know, something designer....something of substance. The few military garters I have run across just include a military green color, camouflage or some sort of american flag insignia. About two weeks ago I put all of my work aside and decided to finally design the military garter the pin was meant for. Below is a picture of the final product. Behold, the first couture military garter. (Now there are two words that I never thought I would see together...couture and military). I can't wait to send this to someone who will love it!
