Ivory Pearl and Lace Custom Wedding Garter for La Gartier Bride Celina Crowley

Last week I had the pleasure of designing a custom wedding garter for La Gartier's first Irish bride: Celina Crowley. Celina liked the overall structure of the Black Victorian garter (shown below) but wanted a garter that was ivory with less of a gothic look and more of a romantic feel. She suggested draping pearls in some way and requested ivory lace as her trim. I set to work shopping for her materials and recommended that we use a sapphire blue rhinestone brooch as her center embellishment as she did not yet have her "something blue." Below is the final product. I had such a lovely time designing this garter. To me, it is a perfect blend of glamour and sweet romance. As far as "something blues" go, it is uprecedented.

La Gartier Wedding Garters and Beautiful Wedding Rings

So this week my head is swimming with brand new garter design ideas for the upcoming collection. A good amount of these ideas are coming from looking at pictures of engagement rings. I want the newest collection to be dripping with sparkle and glamour. Something similar to what would happen if you took Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe and the original Tiffany's store and melted them all together. In the spirit of this wonderfully decadent and luxurious state of inspiration I am in, I thought a blog posting devoted to wedding rings would be perfect.
