Colorful Weddings & Colorful Wedding Garters

Adding a splash of color to your wedding started as a huge trend in the 1990s. Today, weddings are more colorful than ever. And I love the idea of having a colorful wedding garter underneath the neutral, stark white pallet of a wedding gown. I have designed so many vibrant, bold colored wedding garters over the past two years....that it is hard to remember them all. Below are pictures of a few of my favorites, along with a wedding that I saw on the Wedluxe blog this past week that had taking screen shots until my fingers hurt. I love press. And I especially love press when it comes from either New York City or from a foreign country. Seriously, I am becoming a press-junkie. I mean, at one time in my life I would have loved a new pair of shoes or a chance to take a trip to a remote city. Now, I would trade any of that for good press. Which is why I was so delighted to find out that La Gartier was featured last Wednesday on the fabulous United Kingdom wedding blog The Wedding Community. Newest Obsession: Claudia McDade Photography

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting photographer Claudia McDade at the Inspired Bride Event. Claudia and I were both participating in the event as industry professionals and had a wonderful time meeting and chatting with dozens of giddy brides throughout the day. As the day went on, I got a chance to talk with Claudia and learn a learn a bit about her and her work. And now I must brag about her: Claudia McDade's photography is stunning. She is not only a fabulous wedding photographer,
but she also is an incredible fashion photographer. in fact, Vogue Italy just recently asked Claudia to shoot an editorial styled shoot for them. I don't know if there is a photo that this woman cannot take!! Recently, Claudia has begun shooting bridal boudior photography sessions which are trending big time. While I see a ton of photographers offering boudior services, not all of them are shooting as tastefully and as artfully as Claudia. If you are interested in hiring a photographer for your wedding or for a boudior shoot.......or, well, just about anything......you MUST look up Claudia McDade photography. La Gartier Garters Now At Fabulous Frocks Atlanta!

La Gartier is happy to announce its newest retail location: Fabulous Frocks Atlanta! Fabulous Frocks is a Luxe Bridal Consignment Boutique located just south of Atlanta, in the unbelievable picturesque town of Senoia, Georgia. Seriously, being in Senoia is like stepping into the movie set of Fried Green Tomatoes or something!! I visited myself about a week ago, and was not at all surprised to see two different movies crews working right there in the town center of Senoia. It is so quaint, and pretty and small and perfectly landscaped and country and.................um, am I getting carried away? Whoops. Ok, tangent over. Anyway, Fabulous Frocks Atlanta is tucked perfectly in the center of the town, like a hidden gem. It is owned and operated by the fabulous Abriel Rose. Yes, that is really her name. (I don't even know if I could make up a better bridal boutique owner's name if I tried!!) Inside of Fabulous Frocks you can find some of world's top bridal gown labels, along with some seriously gorgeous accessories. La Gartier is so thrilled to be one of Fabulous Frock's newest accessory names!! North Carolina Garter

This past week, I designed about fourteen collegiate garters for an upcoming photoshoot. One of them was my new North Carolina State Wedding Garter. I made it out of an authentic North Carolina State ribbon and trimmed it with a gorgeous ivory organza. In the center is a ivory double-faced satin bow and a hanging "S" initial charm that the bride can customize to her liking!!! Gotta love personalization, eh? With this garter, you can either leave it an "S" or change it to the first letter of your new last name, your existing first name, etc. If you are interested in this garter or another college team garter like it, feel free to email us at info@lagartier.com or use the contact form. This past week, I designed about fourteen collegiate garters for an upcoming photoshoot. One of them was my new Tennessee Wedding Garter. I made it out of an authentic Tennessee ribbon and trimmed it with a gorgeous ivory organza. In the center is a ivory double-faced satin bow and a hanging "T" initial charm that the bride can customize to her liking!!! Gotta love personalization, eh?
