I was recently on the blog of Polka Dot bride (Austrailia's premier wedding blog) and saw a real wedding that was so beautiful I must blog about it immediately. Not only is it beautiful but it also reminds me of a wedding garter I designed a few months ago for a bride who LOVED the color green. Green Wedding Garter + Spring Green Wedding Inspiration

Today I saw a styled shoot on Wedluxe.com (my favorite wedding blog) that so perfectly matched the feel/inspiration of one of my garter designs that I am devoting an entire blog post to it. Right now. Right here. Yes ladies and gentlemen this must happen immediately.
You see, I designed a green wedding garter over a year ago that, while I may not have known it then, was inspired by the look of this photography shoot. Take a look at it for yourself. Doesn't this green wedding garter look as if it belongs on the leg of one of these models?!?

Tonight's blog post is dedicated entirely to the nature's favorite color: green. While La Gartier creates garters of all colors, green is one color that has already popped up in some of my custom designs quite frequently. Whether it be lime green, spring green, chartreuse green, emerald green or forest green, La Gartier has made green wedding garters for brides all over the country. Below are a few of my favorite green garters that I have done including my personal favorite, the Secret Garden Wedding Garter. Custom Wedding Garter: Peacock Wedding Garter

Peacock feathers have always amazed me, with the vibrancy of the greens and the blues they show off (literally) and the complexity of their patterns. It makes sense that so many brides today are incorporating peacock feather elements into their wedding day. Not a week goes by recently that I don't see a new peacock inspired wedding on the top weddings blogs or paging through some of the most popular bridal publications. So about five months ago, I broke out the ribbon and went shopping for a peacock feather to create a peacock inspired wedding garter. Below are pictures of the final product plus a few real wedding peacock pics. The body is made of a green double faced satin ribbon, with a french imported floral embroidered ribbon on top. In the center is a fabulous peacock brooch I found online, with the most important element behind it: a peacock feather straight from the tail of one very cocky, flashy, show-off male peacock somewhere in the world. My darling bird, you have succeeded in getting all of our attention♥♥♥♥

Christmas Holiday Wedding Garter

Eventhough it is the day after Christmas, I thought that the Christmas wedding garter would be appropriate to write about. It was made for La Gartier bride Kimberly Challina for her Dec. 24th, Christmas Eve wedding right here in Atlanta, Georgia. Because of the special date, Kimberly decided to have an angel motif throughout her wedding and was delighted to find that I had a rhinestone Angel pendant in my jewelry collection. To keep with the spirit of the season, we used a dark green velvet ribbon across the body and two tiny red bows on either side of the angel. Below is Kimberly's garter. Merry La Gartier everyone! And congratulations Kimberly!!!
