Bridal Garter Set

Tonight's blog posting is dedicated entirely to bridal garter sets, which if you don't know is comprised of two garters: a keepsake garter and a toss garter. The keepsake garter is the garter that you keep for the rest of your life, to either give to your daughter or to simply keep for yourself as memorabelia from your wedding day. The toss garter on the other had is the garter that gets thrown during the garter toss. I know not every bride likes to participate in the garter toss however, so I completely understand if you only want a keepsake garter, however if you do indeed want both, we have a TON of cute wedding garter sets here at La Gartier for you to look through:) Be it ivory or white, vintage or modern, La Gartier has some of the cutest, most original wedding garter sets available!! Wedding Garter Re-Defined.

Wedding Garter:
1. An elasticized band worn around the leg to hold up a stocking or sock.
This is the definition I get when I pull up "wedding garter definition" in google. Is it just me or does it leave something to be said? Where is the wedding part? I've run this search for the definition of wedding garter about six times now in different ways and nowhere can I find the definition of the type of wedding garter you and I know of. Hhhmmmmm........so not only does the garter need to be re-designed but appartently re-defined as well. Let's see if I can do something about this.
Wedding Garter. Noun. 1. A elasticized accessory often worn around the upper leg of a bride on her wedding day. (The La Gartier addition to this definition? Traditionally a very old, dated-looking accessory ((hideous really)), but more and more often this little piece of elastic is becoming one of the hottest, most sought after wedding accessories. Today, brides from New York to London can find a gorgeous wedding garter that either matches the color pallete of their wedding, their wedding style, or their personality!!)

Personalized Garter: Country Inspired Wedding

I recently had a bride contact me who was getting ready to have a country inspired wedding right here in Atlanta, Georgia and wanted to order a personalized garter. I was delighted, because I had recently seen the most perfect red-checkered ribbon at my favorite fabric store. When I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for a country-inspired wedding. The bride, Kaylee Hudson, was ecstatic when she saw the ribbon, as it matched the red-checkered theme she had on her tablecloths and her hubby's boutineer. After sending me her leg measurement and a few other photos about her wedding style, we decided that the garter needed a something more than just the red-checkered ribbon. I suggested shopping around for a country-inspired pendant and was over-the-moon happy when I found a ring that had cowhide inside of it, with a tiny texas longhorn charm on top. Seriously, I can't even think of anything better! Below are pictures of the final garter that Kaylee is set to wear down the aisle on March 23, 2012 right here in Atlanta, Georgia. Britney Spears Engaged + La Gartier Ambition

So, as the world gossip goes, pop-singer Britney Spears got engaged this week! The rumors started a few days ago but were solidified Thursday when she stepped out for her fiance, Jason Trawick's fortieth birthday party wearing her engagement ring. While I am not a huge fan of pop music, I am a big Britney fan mostly because of her talent as a dancer. I can't get enough of Britney's dancing and to this day will pop in my "Best of Britney Videos" during an at home work out or just when I want to feel inspired. For anyone who has ever danced, it is hard to deny her talent as a performer. What does this have to do with garters you ask? Four words: La Gartier Bride Britney Spears. I would love love love to design a garter for her! Wish me luck!

La Gartier Wedding Garters Continues to Evolve!

So I have spent the past two days holed up in the same thirty by thirty square foot space, putting the final touches on about thirty garters set to go to my photographers tomorrow at ten a.m. I feel a little out of it, as I haven't really talked with another human being other than the occasional cash register interaction, but I can't wait to see what the photos look like. The newest garters are by far the best La Gartier garters yet, with a strong emphasis on the possibilities of customization and serious jolt of luxury. Finer fabrics and finer embellishments define the newest collection. I have been working on them for months and can't wait to share! Be on the lookout for the newest La Gartier garters in seven to ten days! And while I am totally psyched about the arrival of the images can I please just say it feels so good to be out in public! I don't even care that this coffee shop doesn't carry soy milk!

Risque Boudior Photography + Boudior Garters

So, I recently had the pleasure of being introduced to Atlanta's best boudior photography company, Risque Boudior. Boudior Photography sessions, as most of you know, are gaining popularity quickly and while Atlanta has a handful of companies who offer these kinds of services, it is my humble opinion that Meredith of Risque Boudior does it the best. If you live in the Atlanta area and are considering a boudior session for yourself (they make the best gifts for your husband for your wedding, anniversary or, as far as he is concerned, Sunday half-time:) you MUST check out her site by clicking here. Get ready there are some pretty "risque" images on the site. You know, the kind that will win you bonus points for eternity from your significant other? Did I say they make great gifts? I recently emailed Meredith about possibly collaborating, as I have always wanted to design a collection of boudior La Gartier garters, and I was happy to hear she was interested. So, I set to work designing the first La Gartier Boudior garter. (See pics below). It isn't exactly wedding dress material, but it sure would look good with the lingerie you might wear the night OF your "I do's".
